Bernis Blackburn 68, of Sidney, Ky. went to be with the Lord Saturday February 27, 2010 at Paul B. Hall Medical Center, Paintsville, Ky. He was born October 8, 1941 in Pike County, Ky., to the late Homer and Agnes Crigger Blackburn. He is also preceded in death by his sister-in-law; June Blackburn and nephew; Jerry Lee Blackburn. He was a retired security guard.
He is survived by three brothers; Randy (Norma) Blackburn of Sidney, Ky., Ronnie Blackburn of Pikeville, Ky., and William Earl Blackburn of Ohio and a host of family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday March 2, 2010 at R. E. Rogers Funeral Home with Donnie Williamson and Roger Mullins officiating. Burial will follow at Smith Cemetery Sidney, Ky., with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitaton will be after 6 P.M. Monday night at the funeral home with special services at 7 P.M.. R.
